Dental implants
Among the many services provided to its patients, it is the teeth implant which consists of inserting in the maxillary or the mandibular bone some pilasters which will bear an artificial tooth able to act as a natural one.
Implantology is aimed at serving as a dental implant for a stable support of the artificial teeth. Here, we refer to dentures and dental bridges mounted to these implants which will not slip and will not move.
This thing is extremely important when talking and eating. Corina Dent dental clinic recommends to its patients two types of implants:
- intraosseous implant - surgically inserted directly into the jawbone.
Once the surrounding gum tissue is healed, a new surgery is required in order to anchor a pillar to the original implant. Finally, the artificial tooth/teeth (grouped as a bridge) or the removable dentures are caught on the pole. - subperiostal implant - is made of a metal frame inserted into the jawbone just below the gum tissue.
As the gums heal, the metal is fixed on the bone. The pillars caught on this frame come out through the gums. Similar to the intraosseous implant, the artificial teeth are mounted on these poles.
The teeth implant lasts up to 18-20 years, according to the compliance with the oral hygiene and the place of the implant. Corina Dent dental clinic offers this service to any patient who has previously went through a set of normal blood tests and a special X-ray.
